Hey guys I was wondering if anybody has had a chance to build some type of fly rod roof rack/sleeve.I have checked them out online but anything decent with a lock is over 300 bucks post some pics of your rigs. Or a link you guys have ran across in the past with some ideas.

Titan rod vault pro is 299 right not. Stick a crow bar in your wallet and buy one

i use 4 piece rods. If i take a break for lunch, i break it down strung into 2 pieces and put it behind my seat.

I have a Thule roof rack and I just use the twist ties that are sold in Home Depot. They are basically rubber/plastic coated wires sold in bright colors and in different lengths. I just put some foam on the rack and anchor the rod on the rack. I do this when I am moving on the river and don't want to break the rod down. Of course it would not be recommended for highway speeds or off road driving because any object such as a bird, rock, branch or hail could damage the rod.

Sumo rod rack is a reasonable option for the cost ($150). I have the suction model so that it doesn't damage the car and it works wonders.

I looked at the Titan rack it's awesome I just want something to keep a rod in at all times when I'm coming from work or what ever I can just jump out and have it ready. Pvc pipe it might just be
