Float Tubs

A Polinger

Just finished a River Runs Through it!
I have been tossing arounf the idea of getting a float tub. I have never used one so im not sure what to look for. I've been looking at the Fish Cat 4 at Cabelas. I would like to use it in good size water (Round Valley, Spruce Run) and some other smaller ponds of wich names I wont say. Any tips on how to pick one and use would be great.
Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure about your lakes, ... I used them for years on the BC interiour lakes for c-mid fishing. Had a BLAST.

If you're on bigger lakes, ... you might want to look into pontoon kickers as they get around a bit better, are higher out of the water (good for COLD water). Not the big white water pontoons that replace drift boots ... the smaller ones.

Make sure you check into the regulations regarding the use of inflatables (e.g. Float Tubes). Many ponds and lakes prohibit the use of inflatables. :(

Mr. A Polinger:

If you haven't read the last thread started by Mr. Comparadun on this very topic, may I suggest you keep your head low.

Float Tube for Sale

Speaking of float tubes, got one for sale. Good condition. It's a predator, very high quality. Used maybe five times. Make an offer, and I would imagine it costs a bit to mail...
