It's likely that nobody is in there because nobody knows about it yet, but let's see if we can at least connect.

When you click on chat, a pop-up window will appear. Just click yes and you'll enter chat. Wait a few seconds and it will let you into the chat room.

We'll call this phase, "User Approval Testing."

Feedback will be appreciated.

Interesting idea, but every time I log on, I seem to be the only member active. It must be pretty lonely in that chat room...

We are in the chat room now. Not all members choose to show when they are active.

Hmmmm. Scott... There are 3 of us in the chatroom now. Does it give you an error? Actually, I noticed that it takes about 15 seconds to kick in. Let it sit for a few more seconds.

I tried to get in today from work, and our server wouldn't allow it. It's probably just as well, I just am WAY to busy at work to be screwing aorund on the internet...

OK, I got in from home tonight, but I was the only one there. Before I actually got in, I got a warning about an unsigned authenticity certificate, though. Very strange...

I'm also getting strange certification notices and then a "Failed to connect" java.net.connect (yada, yada,) and no visible evidence that my input message "took".

No one else appeared to be in Chat Room at the time.

Ok... I'm going to put together a scheduled time thing this way we can have some coordination as to when people will be in there. It's pretty discouraging when you go in and are the only person... Nothing like talking to yourself!

The certification thing is NORMAL... Just say "YES", and you'll be let in.

If you're at work, chances are that you're behind what is called a Firewall. As the name implies, it basically bocks 'fires'. Your company can control what comes in and out of the network. If you cannot get through to the chat site, chances are that you're being blocked by your companies firewall.

Let's talk times. What are good time slots for people to meet up in the chat rooms? I'll take the times and average them out and create time slots accordingly.

Is there anyway for you to see when most of us visit your site? If so, you probably know when most people are poking around here and have the time to "chat". If not, I'm most able between 9-12pm. Thanks for trying to make this work for everyone!

Are you going to put a link for the chat thing on the main page?

I just put the link for the Chat thing over on the Main Menu. Keep in mind that I'm still working on this.

It works fairly well, but I'm going to have to include an HTML page for this so I can include the Chat Times when at least a few of us can be available. It appears that the majority of evening users come on around 8:00pm.

The HTML page is now completed for the chat room. It lists the times that people are most likely online but not neccessarily chatting. Click on the chat link under the main menu and read the text file.

I won't be back here until around 11:00pm tonight. I'll log in to see if anyone is there although that is kinda late.
