Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

"Brook Trout Forest" all is well there.

Small stream, wild trout flyfisher
I crossed the Connecticut river just about sunup. I continued to ride east until I arrived at a place of solitude.

This stream is located in a valley. Its waters are pure with an amber tint. There's no anglers here, most are concerned with river flows, and hatch charts. This is a place for peace and unpretentious wild brook trout.

The native char in this stream are truly special. They possess a dark tone almost to the point of being black, this from the tannin waters.

To me, this post truly epitomizes the irony of the WB disputes going on here. Fishing ain't about arguing, it ain't about getting all worked up about what others are doing (or what your paranoid ass from the NE thinks others are up to), nor is it supposed to resemble the tea-cup ride at disney. Man, like you said peace and solitude and unpretentious brookies, of course. I think you're spot on.
