I am now posting this up to date news item from the D.R.C pond. This news release is brought to you by Friends of the Delaware - give me water or I will vote you out of your office seat.
Mission accomplished.
I have successfully blanketed the stocked pond with Trout Chow Pellets for consecutive evenings, under the cloak of deep darkness. The fish reacted like wild piranhas in the Amazon River – they viciously ripped into the surface, eagerly chomping down on the scarfed booty. It was not easy bellying under the rigged electric wire fence and sidestepping those embedded land mines while approaching this sacred body of water. Obviously, someone has told the D.R.C. about my intentions. I guess that is the price you pay posting on a public board. I feel like Zoro, only with a mission.
The next few evenings, as I have now conditioned Al's trout on the fine delicacies lent from the West Branch Angler stash of trout chow, will be like fishing in a trout hatchery. (SOMETHING I HAVE NEVER DONE as a Trout Poacher before, but I hear that -- according to an Eric Clapton/Bob Marley famous song lyric -- It is a Capital Offense).
Does anyone know of a deadly trout pellet pattern? I have purchased my Partridge nymph hooks straight from the England factory, but need a good recipe.
Sincerely,
MP
