Just purchased a DC Skykomish Sunrise ST, used but in very nice condition. All you wading anglers better keep your head's on a swivel as I spin out of control while trying to figure out how to row while bouncing off every rock as I head down river, stealing all the best holes that you couldn't cast to on your best day and then drop anchor right in front of you and eat lunch. :bootyshak.....just kidding obviously. I do have and understand etiquette. I am sure there will be a learning curve but I can't wait to get out there and give it a shot. I am actually really looking forward to when the Main Stem will be fish able again and floating that.

your going to find that floating down the river opens up a whole different world. It is very relaxing, you not on your feet all the time. and even when the fishing is slow it is just fun to float the river and take in the scenery

Just a suggestion, don't let the learning "curve" into all the waders and boaters on the D River...lol. Try taking you boat out in an open river and get some practice. Before long you'll be able to weave in and out between all the waders and drifters on the upper D without causing any fist fights! Smallie fishing on the lower D is fun and a great way to christen your new boat. Good luck with it and have fun!

Did the two of you go to the same school?

:)

I won the bid and am in the process of fitting my new to me pontoon boat......ie, rod holders, anchor and anchor rode, side pocket, patch kit, aqua seal, everything that didn't come with the winning bid. Put it together in the driveway for the first time, not bad took about 45 minutes, I am sure I can cut that time in half now that i know how everything fits together. The electric pump is awesome, hooks up to the car battery and inflates the tubes in about 30 seconds. Now I just have to make time to fish. That is always the hardest part, trusting and setting up my crew unattended for a few days while I fish and not letting them figure out that I was fishing.

yea never let your employees know what you are doing as they already think that they do all the work and you just make it hand over fist

LOL my bosses back in Seattle were out fishing at least 50 work days a year. On the upside they sometimes brought back hatchery steelies & silvers and we had a smoker and a grill in the back. Nobody seemed to mind and we got the same amount of work done, albeit with more of a party atmosphere. I found their golfing days a bit annoying though.
