That whole section is stocked, but there is not a lot of deep pockets down that far, so I doubt they survive threw the summer. When I was a kid I remember my grandfather pulling large trout out from bellow the dam, but it recent years I haven't heard of any large trout being pulled from there.

What Flytire posted on page one is accurate, you can carry one canister of .75 fl oz or less. Personally I think if that is your only defense, then just stay away from any bears, as .75 fl oz will just piss it off. :)
