Aug 18th South Branch Raritan River Cleanup

Pro Tippet Destroyer...
The "Double Down" event as a follow-up to the July 17th cleanup was a great success. Such a great success it was re-dubbed the "quadruple down event"... That's right we had a goal of 100 more tires and all groups pulled a total of 406 more tires! In addition to that we pulled a lot of trash including bikes, a tv, gas fireplace and a few batteries. At 9am our group started at the Sears bridge (white bridge) in Neshanic and stopped at the 2nd Opie/River rd Bridge in Flagtown at about 9:30pm. Our group pulled approx 156 tires of the 406 total.

A little follow up to this effort, all tires and garbage have been moved and are being shipped off to processing facilities. Eric managed to do some sweat talking at the Somerset County Parks department and got help from them to clear all the drop zones:
