What to do with CDC leftovers?

I have tied a lot of cdc emergers using the tips of the cdc feather. Are there any good uses for tip-less feathers? I have a whole bunch.

pull the remaining barbs off the stem, chop them up and make cdc dubbing

put them in some split thread or dubbing loop, twist and macke collars for wet flies

tie them in as legs

expriment. be creative
