Thieves steal $130,000 in bait

I would have loved to see the look on the thieves' faces when they discovered what their loot was....

LINDEN, N.J. (AP) -- Thieves netted nearly $130,000 worth of bait fish when they stole a refrigerated container from a trucking company in north Jersey.
The more than 63,000 pounds of menhaden were bound for China.
Police are reviewing video from surveillance cameras.

CALIFON, NJ (NEFF) Conservation officers today arrested several poachers fishing with frozen Menhaden in the popular Ken Lockwood Gorge. The special regulations area is open to angling, but bait is not permitted.
