Scadden pontoon arrived

LyNcH

Dries, wets, nymphs and streamers...it's all good!
I've been making posts for the past couple months about my desire to purchase a pontoon boat so I can access other parts of a few rivers that few ever do. I will start off by saying that WBDluver has been very helpful throughout the process. He is a site sponsor and sells Scadden and Buck Bags boats.

I ended up deciding on the Scadden Outlaw Outfitter. It is one of their larger boats and has the capacity to float 1,2 or 3 people & is a single wraparound pontoon. This will allow me to take 2 guys out as well as float any of the watersheds in the area a driftboat can and more, as I will not need a boat launch. Unloaded, the boat weighs only 103 lbs, so it will make for relatively easy launches and I will be able to tow it will my car.

The boats is shipped in 5 packages. 4 of the 5 boxes arrived yesterday, and looking at the tracking, the 5th box is out for delivery today. The frame is in the final box with a few small items. I hope to have the boat assembled and will make the final modifications to my trailer this weekend with hopes to float it sometime next week. Here are a few pictures so far.

Very nice, and good luck.

Have you picked out the fly vest PFD's to be purchased for you and your guests?

I don't see it on WBDLUVER's page. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the Scadden set you back? I still need something for Alaska.

you need a two man for Alaska? I can make you a great deal on the Rampage or X5 one man. I will give you the sand jockey discount.

Eric had to go trough Dave as he must be pissed at me due to the fact he did not return my emails or phone calls. Or maybe he just got him on a good day.

I just need a jump seat so the wife can come along. I don't plan on doing any extended trips with it.

Does the car have a heated seat to keep your vagina nice and toasty on those cold winter mornings?

As long as that vagina is rowing me to great fishing spots, I don't particularly care if its warm or not...

Oh i'm sure the passenger side is heated for yours as well............

The frame arrived today, will be starting assembly tomorrow after work.

TT - There is always a seat for you in my car & on the boat.

Tom, I need to order an spare 8' oar, a repair kit and a few fly rod holders......no homo. I'll be shooting you a PM.

Was lucky enough to accompany LyNcH on the maiden voyage of his Scadden pontoon. Absolutely fantastic float on the Battenkill. And for a rookie rower, he did a great job keeping us out of shit. Landed a gorgeous brown in an area we would never access without the boat. As you can see, the old man had the time of his life.uploadfromtaptalk1336319701374.jpg Thanks Again LyNcH.

Holy Shit! That thing will never trim out......... Reminds me of trying to ride my bike on the front tire when I was a kid..... Rugby 310 is more like it....

310 is probably within 3 lbs. You used to work at the fair didn't you?

That actually is not Rugby10, it's his father-in-law who is the Godfather of flyfishing to us and I will row his any day of the week.

Rugby had an absolutely battle with a fat 23" brown on a dry. I am surprised he didn't post a picture of it yet.

Damn, I need some more Harpoon IPA.

Lynch, be careful drinking too many of those Harpoon IPA's...it seems like they may cause you to try to validate your life through a computer screen, posting nonsensical tidbits of insignificant thoughts...
