Is it a one man pontoon or a two man. You'll be fine in a pontoon. I'd hit mid river if I were you with that pontoon at 500.

To be honest..No I have not......so what should I do stick with the TNT fishing.....Most times DEC aint around to hear the blast... And man do we get fish

Unfortunately I am back in NC. The only good thing is by the end of this month I should be finding out if I go to New York or Alaska. Hopefully it's one of those two places. If not, I may lose my mind.

Hi Guys,
This is just a short report- more to follow later when I have a little more time.
Fished the upper end of the river from the Lower Fly Zone down to Schoolhouse pool on Monday and Tuesday. Monday was brutally cold and tough fishing but I did hear of some people getting into fish.
Tuesday was a little warmer (highs around 30) and the fishing was pretty good. I'm definitely a beginner at steelhead fishing with the fly rod and I managed to go 4 for 6 with probably just as many missed strikes. There are lots of fish in the river though most that we caught looked like they had been in there a while.
Thanks again to everyone who offered advice and suggestions.

Hopefully! More than likely all that cold water will keep them a little tight lipped and to the bottom. We'll see though!!
