RRTU Meeting March 16, 2011
RRTU President Greg Sabol opened the meeting.
Last night we had the pleasure to listen to Joe Kasper's presentation
on Shad fishing in the Delaware River. Having never fished for shad
and knew very little I was very interested in what he had to say.
From the beginning it was very obvious that Joe is quite knowledgeable
with a great deal of experience behind him.
Joe covered everything from their spawning habits, fishing techniques,
tackle set up, fishing various structures, positioning from a boat or wading,
to their run patterns. All in all it was one presentation that actually
covers the topic of how to fish for shad.
His presentation and slides were well thoughtout that even this novice
could follow along and I really learned a lot. I also know if I was to fish
for shad in the Delaware I know who I am calling as a guide.
One of the RRTU member's submitted an application to the
Cranford Community to get a room for a night of fly tying.
More information will be provided when we get a date and time,
and as usual all is welcome TU member or not.
