RRTU and my table of death!

Good Evening NEFF Community,

I have just returned home from Massachusetts and I am already craving to get back on the water. SO, in order to keep myself sane and prevent my parents from killing me, I headed down to my dads shop where his keeps all his construction vehicle/equiment, as well as where our sports room is and where he holds his weekly fly tying nights... I decided to crank out some flies for tomorrows journey on the Pequest...

However, as I entered his shop, I saw our "table of death" was back to full capacity. My father and I as well as a few buddies belong to a large hunting and fishing club in Blairstown (Brian C. has had the pleasure of fishing the p.kill which runs through it). We stock quail/pheasant/chukar/ and hungarian partridge throughout November/December/Jan/Feb so by the end of the year we have pelts/skins that rival the stock of Whitting itself...

It just so works out that the spring time(when we conclude our upland hunting) is when the local high school begins their weekly fly tying clubs, so my father and his buddies donate hundreds of skins/feathers to these local clubs. It helps the club get on their feet without dipping into thier yearly allotment of funds they receive from grants for other materials such as hooks/BEADS/thread etc. I mean jesus, a hungarian skin from ramseys is close to 30 bucks so it makes my father and buddies feel good when they can help out, especially fly fishing related.

However, the table is already full, and so are about 6 crates. Everything from rabbit to partridge. I was wondering if I could bring some of these skins down to an RRTU fly tying night to donate to all the tyers that will be in attendence? My father and I as wel as all of our buddies already have enough pheasant and 'hun skins to last 14 lifetimes. SO everything we get now we donate, or keep, but use to make exoctic colors or blend them.

I will be home for a little while, so I am hoping we can schedule an RRTU tying night when I am home so I am abe to bring down these skins.

I hope no one has any objection. Thank you for your time, all.

Hey, Chris, we are thankful for the offer, and are looking for materials any time. Our next tying night is on Tue. Jan. 3 from 7-9 pm. I live in Cranford so if you can't make the tying night, maybe we could get together another time. Please pm me if any dates are good for you. Thanks for keeping us in mind as far as material donations. Jake

WOW Chris,

What a generous and gratious offer -- I'm sure anything you donate will be GREATLY APPRECIATED and well used for the pourposes of teaching fly tying and fly fishing -- Your donation would also be a well needed blessing for those people just starting out with limited funds to buy supplies.

I would like to personally thank you in advance of your donation -- Your truely a good soul.

Peace
Dan
