Route 17 Sullivan County Alert

They are putting up the steel supports for the Route 209 overpass over Route 17 in Wurtsboro. As a result traffic westbound on 17 is being routed off 17. The delays are horrible.
I don't know how long this will continue. If going westbound it's better to get off Exit 114 and head into Wurtsboro and pick up Route 17 west of Town. I hit it this morning and was dead-stopped for almost 30 minutes.

Oh no traffic jams at Wurstboro still, I have been gone since 79 to the Western GLs. The infamous Wurtsboro hills were climbed and sped down many a time, great memories from my eastern boyhood days up to 29 years old.
