Ridge and Valley Trout Unlimited Fly Tier’s Round Table December 4th

On December 4th RVTU will feature a Fly Tier’s Round Table to help our members get ready for this fall/winter season’s fishing. Johnny Utah will be demonstrating how to tie the Dubbing Loop Egg and an American Flashback Pheasant Tail.

Rib- copper wire small and/or medium
Thorax- peacock hurl

Support Local Fly shops like Shannon’s Fly and Tackle in Califon http://shannonsflytackle.com or Ramsey Outdoor in Succasunnahttp://ramseyoutdoor.com have the materials needed.

If you cannot find materials locally, here are a couple of websites that I have used that ship quickly;

The meeting will start at 7:00 - 9:30 PM @ MWA Resource Center, 10 Maple Ave, Asbury, NJ. Learn not only how to tie the featured fly(s) or your favourite fly, but get advice on what to use in the upcoming season from experienced members.

• Having trouble with tying a fly?

• Never tied before?

• A little cabin fever?

Bring your vise and materials to our Tier’s Round Table, learn a new fly or get help from other members. Never tied? No problem we will have vises and tools available to try your hand. We ask all members that do tie your own flies to come out and help your fellow members. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Fredy

If any members have an extra vise and don’t mind bringing it, please do so. We might have some members looking to learn.
Note: Please remember to bring a light for your vise, lighting conditions in the building are not as bright as you may like.
Lowes sells the folding Ott light for $35 and its also rechargeable, it’s the lowest price I have found locally!

Time and Location: 7:00 - 9:30 PM @ MWA Resource Center, 10 Maple Ave, Asbury, NJ
Special thanks to the Musconetcong Watershed Association for donating the space for our members and guest to meet.

See ya there, I'll bring the materials for the slumpbuster also.

I bumped into Beetle and he said he would skip his N.A.M.B.L.A. meeting that night and come tie with us, he wanted to know if there would be any food or free stuff.

If the Beetle shows up there will be a cover charge only for him $20.
