lol to late ill have to make another order in a couple weeks for the rest they were selling the set for $80 and to buy them seperate it was like $83 so it only saves a couple dollars !

Up to 750CFS on the SR I like 3.9 inch per second poly leader. For 750CFS up six inches per second should be fine. The two poly leaders that I used last season on the Salmon were a 3.9inch per second and an intermediate. If you adjust your presentation and have an assortment of weighted flies you should be fine with the 3.9inch per second and a seven inch per second poly for the entire season although an intermediate poly leader would be nice to have.

thanks i just put the order through for the 5.6 and 7.0 ips rio versi leader ill buy a couple more before the steel starts running

Hi TF , much like theartoflee I tend to the lighter side 1.5 , 3.9 and a 5.6 will be the ones you use the most on the salmon river.5.6 being the heaviest I like i use at 750 to 1500 cfs in the areas i like to fish when the water is running this hard. 700 and down to say 550 3.9 and down to 350 1.5 to a straight greased line or straight leader will be fine. But again it all depends on how you fish and where your presentation begins.Once you have fished there in a variety of locations and over time you will learn what tip to use in a given situation to keep you in the zone.7.0 ips I like to use for run off when the water is 1500 cfs plus to 1800. And then there is another category I have never tried T-10 and up which is much heavier..

Nothing more that I can add to the replies except that this is going to be a good fall/winter.

Thanks for posting a fly fishing related thread, it's refreshing.
