Pennell Bamboo Rod

I recently bought at a garage sale a bamboo rod. The only markings on it was in the Reel seet, it was engraved with the name Pennell. Does anyone know anything about this? Also the ferruls are really strange, they seems to twist and lock in place. Its a 3 piece rod, two tips (total 4)

These rods were made by Montaque which was a production rod builder, and while perfectly servicable fishing rod, it have very little monetary value unless it was in a shorter lenght say 7 1/2 ft. Even then it wouldn't top out at more than $200.00. If it's in fishable shape enjoy it.
