Korkers Preditor wading boots

Andy

Just finished a River Runs Through it!
It seems like every manufacturer makes wading boots in size EEE and I have a D width foot. I add extra pairs of sox to take up the space but can't add too many as I can't slide my foot into the boot and my toes are cramped. My feet actually twist and slide (especially when wading over bottoms with lots of rocks) inside the boot due to the loose side fit making them very sore at the end of the day.
I'm looking at the Korker Preditor wading boot with its Boa Technology lace tightening knob. Would this method of lace tightening help make that style of boot fit tighter on me?

tighter...maybe, maybe not. easier, absolutely. the boas tighten very evenly and relatively quickly (the new model is supposed to be quicker) and loosen even more easily. easy to get the foot in, easy to tighten down evenly, easy to adjust during the day, and easy to get back off. if the footbed is still too wide, you can add a thick pair of insoles to any boot to "fill space" without losing too much stability (like you will with lots of socks). in the end, the boot governs the fit, the laces just fine tune it at best. but boas are worth it for many reasons imo.

I have narrow feet and ankles and got the korker guides this summer; even cranking them way down theres a bit too much space, but way better than regular boots.
