Hyde Drift Boats. BUY SOMEONE ELSES!!!!!

If you are in the Market for a new boat, don't buy a Hyde! Sure they are a great boat, but what about after your purchase?? Ever thought about that?? Myself and a few other Hyde owners have had nothing but problems with them as far as resolving issues concerning our boats. First off, most of the time they will mess up your order and put things or leave things out that were suppose to be on your boat, or they totally get your color wrong. Either way, if you are looking for customer service after the sale of your 10,000$ plus drift boat, look else where, because Hyde will basically tell you to go pound sand.

Yes it is the bottom of my boat. The G4 bottom is seperating from the side of the boat. I have called them and left messages with their "tech" guys, and I haven't heard a friggin thing. Then I find out another guy who has bought 9 boats from them, can't even get an issue resolved concerning a side anchor that he didn't even want on his boat! The owner of the company told him to take a hike. WOW! Do they not realize the power of the internet. I just sent another email tonight that was on the polite side. If I don't hear anything this week, it's going to be a rough ride for them. I will make sure everyone I know who wants to buy a boat buys something other than a Hyde.

Who are you dealing with there? I've been dealing with them since John Sidle's( sp) days- at least since 99. I actually had the back 1/2 of a boat cut off and rebuilt a couple of years ago under the warranty (long story). Pm me, I'll shoot you my email and I'll make a few calls if needed

Refer them to the site so they can see the negative advertising they are getting, I once did that with Orvis and then got results. Point out the number of views.

My good friend Kevin is the one who had a problem with the side anchor. he has had the same problem for the last 6 years. He gets a new boat every year and sells the old one. They gave him the floor anchor system and said, just deal with the holes in the side. Why should he have to deal with a purchase that he didn't want. He went back and forth with them for some time and I think he is pretty sick of them doing the same thing every year. The only problem is that they make a model with a motor well in it just for him. So he can't totally tell them to f off.

I don't know the entire story regarding CTobias' Hyde drift boat but a Hyde representative is more than welcomed to come and state their side of the case. This may or may not concern Hyde but this thread does come up on the front page of Google. Anyone searching for information on a Hyde drift boat is going to come across this thread.

So when he let me use his boat the rest of the day, he told me that he better not hear that I tried to get the boat in that spot!

I've heard nothing but good things about Kevin. He's as good a guide as they get on the Oswego.

A buddy of mine that lives in Milford, PA. used to fish with him alot. On one his trips Kevin told him he was getting a new boat and was going to sell the one they were fishing in. My buddy bought it on the spot. We fish the main stem of the Delaware with it alot and it fishes well with or without a motor.

Hyde got back to me and told me how to take care of the G4 bottom seperating. I am glad someone finally told me how to take care of it. Now if they will just fly someone out to fix it I would be all set. Just kidding. All I was looking for was an answer to what needed to be done, and I FINALLY got it. Thanks guys for all the help!

I just wish Kevin could get his situation straigtened out. Poor CTD. I see his old boat on the SR all the time. Well one of them anyways. Chasin Tail guide service has one of his old boats. I've seen him use the motor once on the SR to do something while he was fishing, not sure though. Anyways, thanks again guys!
