If any of you guys have a weekend or seasonal home up in Hancock give a call to a neighbor to check up on your place. Since right before the end of the year quite a few seasonal homes, homes of full time residents ,businesses and cars have been broken into and robbed. The Bluestone Grill was burglerized 2 weeks ago and the Circle E was broken into 2 nights ago. Someone I know had a snowblower taken from their shed and another friend of mine had his house broken into while he was upstairs sleeping. In the 3 years that I have been there, this is the first time that I have heard of things like this happening.

This is shocking..

The authorities must start questioning suspects!

Before this leads to an armed robbery...

or maybe it is escaped convicts..

worse yet phycotic drugged crazed crack heads...

child tv stars gone bad...

Order must be restored to our society!

And the guilty parties brought to justice.

If casinos and more people come into the area you better get used to it. It provides gambling money to those who cant afford to gamble.

I spoke with some one close to the investigations... ;) and it's far from anarchy up in Hancock. The couple of cars "broken into" were unlocked with the female owner's pocketbooks in full view on the seat. The snowblower was an "attempt"- NOT taken. They(the Hancock Police and State Police)are still investigating the break ins at the businesses. I was assured that although uncommon, crime even rears it's ugly head in Hancock every now and again.
