Guides near Silverthorne, Colorado?

I’ll be hitting the slopes in Colorado for the first time next week and plan to fish for at least one day while I’m out there.

Gonna be staying in Silverthorne near the Blue River. Just looking for any information or recommendations on a good guide or fly shop to use. I see there are a couple in the town of Silverthorne

Cutthroat Anglers has a pretty good reputation. Trout’s also has a location in Frisco, and they’re also reputable. If I had to pick one I would go with Trout’s. You probably don’t need a guide to fish the Blue in Silverthorne though.

I’ll have to give them a buzz tomorrow afternoon and see what they have to say. I see some good reviews for both shops.

I spoke with Ken from Colorado Angler earlier today and from what he said, the Blue in town is heavily stocked and moderately pressured..

With that said. It looks like I’ll be switching gears towards the Colorado River or the Eagle River which he suggested.
