Hi guys,
Found a fly box full of silt and mud the other day.
The dogs and I were walking along the river at Balls Eddy and there was a box in a bunch of flood debri.
The box was full of silt and I just about tossed it in the trash.
I brought it in the house and washed the mud out and found it had some flies with only marginal rust.
Washed the flies in soapy water and scrubbed the box out and there are some flies that will fish just fine and the box cleaned up nice too.
Tried putting the flies over a steam bath to fluff them up. Looked impressive, but I am not sure it really helped.
