Douglas Sky 6wt for sale

MACFLY

Too many streams too little time
This is an excellent fly rod for one of you boobs to buy. Food stamps are not allowed but I will consider Collectible NASCAR Memorabilia. Price is $575 shipped for anyone looking to spend their stimulus check. 9ft 6wt excellent all around river rod in very good condition. PayPal accepted. No checks or foreign currency. Beetle tried to pawn himself off as a boob from the Netherlands and wanted to pay me in pot once (it’s sad to think this guy went to northwestern or northeastern university and let it all slip away). In any event pic is attached. Ask questions or make comments. I’m gonna sell it either way:)

Will you take propane accessories for this? I have some regulators for trade. I won't be getting a stimulus check since I'm one of the old, evil white guys they're taking money from to bankroll this entire stimulus circus, I suppose I had it coming for years hard work and good living. To sweeten the pot, I may have a few old tanks and hose fittings that I can throw in. In the mean time, keep grilling your meat, its good for bidness!

Don’t feel bad I won’t be getting one either but I will do my best to check my privilege so Beetle (who identifies as a misguided Boob) can cash his check. You’d think one of the progressive boobs would buy my fly rod as a thank you:)

The rod has been sold and you boobs lose out again:)

Now that its been sold, I have to ask, what did you not like about it? The sky is supposed to be THE 6wt. to own according to the interwebs.

I have one in 7 weight and fished it almost exclusively on my Labrador trip a couple of summers back, catching brookies, Atlantic salmon, lake trout, pike, and whitefish. I tossed big streamers, double nymph rigs with lots of added weight, and dry flies. I was very impressed by that rod.

I'm sure its a great rod, do any of the major makers make a bad rod these days? Its more of an academic question. Our man MACFLY regularly sells the hottest rods of the season, so I'm wondering how much of their "hotness" is internet or fly-rod shop hype vs. reality. I've personally found the increases in performance these days to be incremental vs. revolutionary. I'm also waiting for him to put an Asquith up for sale.

While I agree, the one rod that has changed my life more than any other I can remember in the last 20 plus years is the Winston Air. Maybe perfection in a fly rod. There is simply no bounce in the rod as it loads and rebounds for the forward or back cast. It tracks like no other rod, protects the tippet, and does it all better than any of my Sage, T&T, Loomis, etc. rods.
