Is there a public right of way now? Or have the current owners just allowed access through their land in the past?

What is flood proofing? I have visions of how they construct houses in the Florida Keys, stilts on piers...

Did the Planning guy give you any indication as to when this will be decided upon?

AFAIK the plant is not shutting down.

As it was explained to me the developers have been granted preliminary approval by the Deposit planning board for the updated plans, which will allow the proposed road to be built. At that point they will need to apply for final plat approval. I was not informed as to when this might occur. (I'll have to check with the Deposit planning board on this).

"Flood proofing" was not explained in any detail but I agree it probably means any buildings will be elevated above the flood plain in some way.

There are state access points next to each end of the property, I would imagine they will continue to provide access to the river.
