Buy more guns

The fact is law-abiding citizens guns do not end up on the black market.

you can't possibly be that stupid or naive. Hell, probably half the entire black market in firearms were stolen from some simple-ass suburban chumps who thought that owning a piece were their ticket to home security(hint: get a dog,you will be safe, and highly unlikely to accidentally kill someone). Trust me, there are a lot of folks who make a solid living(albeit completely illegal) stealing and reselling weapons. I agree with Dennis on this...I have no problem with folks owning guns. I just believe that the level of responsibility to go with the right should be kept at a very high point.

According to you, we should not have the right to own guns since a miltia is a state regulated organization.

Who protects us from the state?

Indiviguals, by the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

and you, indivigual that you are, have exactly what chance to 'protect yourself from the state'? Anyone depending on that argument to justify gun ownership is losing sight of the resources available to the modern state. Or, perhaps, you are particularly skilled in, say, uranium enrichment.

Maybe we should get some people from Michigan to come on here and give us their opinion.

Yeahhhh....

Well Future in this case you you dont really need to guess or interpret what you believe was meant. You can read what was meant in the federalist papers as well as on this site.....The Right to Keep and Bear Arms

No, according to the Constitution, the need for a well regulated militia dictates that the people need to "keep arms". I believe that the thought was that if the people kept arms, well, Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story said it better than I could:

"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers..."

The point is that yes, "the people" have a right to keep arms to perform the duty of protecting the nation by being part of a well regulated militia. But the framers envisioned these "people" taking their "arms" home with them. This would ensure that any "ruler" would know exactly what he might be up against if he were to rule badly(and of course, he would not).

It took me all of five minutes of thinking to understand WHY many gun advocates want to deny the existence of the "well regulated Militia" part of the 2nd Amendment. To acknowledge it would mean that there were no specific guarantee or "right" to use guns for any other purpose, such as hunting or collecting(which have become American traditions).

If your interest was on the topic and not merely in calling people stupid and attacking several posts from many weeks ago you might have noticed where I later clarified that by stating I should not have been so literal and then wrote "MOST law-abiding citizen's guns do not end up on the black market." That was an opinion based on reading some data. I'm sorry but your "hell probably half the black market..." rant doesn't exactly seem like it's statisitical data to prove your point otherwise. "Trust you" why? Get a dog? I had one, I had to put him down in February due to cancer but before that he was great at alerting me of an intruder in time for me to load my gun and call the police. "I have no problem with people owning guns" Really, with some of the above comments who are you f*cking trying to kid here?

Callmeslick, nah, I'll just call you a punk. Have nice day.:)

It has pictures just for you. By the way you can keep your tank and you can keep your Sherman....whoever he is

If you would... just so I don't have to read all those pages.

Does it cover tanks?

Can I keep my Sherman?

Ryan is not simple or naive since he did clarify his blanket statement a while ago, however you are. I have a dog and she couldn't keep herself safe. She happily greats anyone who comes threw my door with jumping/licking and when thunder rolls in the distance you will find her cowering under the dining room table. Maybe you would like to clarify your blanket statement now.

Have you ever heard the phrase "where there is a will there is a way" the resources of any state or all states combined is insignificant compared to the will of the people. Urban wars are not won by resources; they are won by will power.

P.S. Why would you nuke the very land you are fighting for?
