Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

A nice day to be on a river...

lightenup

A fan of Boobery
Got to fish today for a couple hours.....no rising fish, but a lot of large caddis with dark heads, these things were big, maybe a size 12. a lot of grannom's, but no risers, all the caddis were laying eggs and not hatching...
I did well on soft hackles, dead drifted along the margins and swung through the current...you NJ TU people will know the place.....
this is the fly they liked

A view of the river, it was a hair off color, but clear enough to see the bottom, perfect!!!! The water temp was between cold and cool.....

This fish was a brute, and jumped several times...none of the hits were subtle, they smashed the fly!!!!
It was bunches of fun......:)

I left at 2:45....I only saw one center pining boob...and two guys gettin' the skunk:skunked: up stream, each came in a pick-up and had parking privileges...that was probably you..:)

OH..BTW I also saw an Osprey overhead...would have missed it if it wasn't for it chirping....

What type of rainbows are these with the red on the gill plates? I caught a few on the Paulinskill this week and they remind me a bit of cutbows out West.

ask the guys at RVTU. I believe they stock the stretch of water I was fishing.,....Rusty will know, even though he got :skunked:..

I'm not sure it was him, I can't be sure, but his silence in incriminating...:)
