Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

A new vest

I am a fan of the Fishpond packs. I have been using one for four years without fail..It doesn't hold a lot, but I don't need a lot...nippers, a nail

You should look into picking up one the quick tie nipper sets. I have one and i love it. The nippers are great and easy to resharpen. Plus the little nail knot tool comes in handy. Also if you bough quality hooks, like Daiichi, you wouldnt need that hook sharpener. :)

I use Daiichi...I just catch soooo many fish that my hooks dull quickly......I'll look into the quick tie nippers, I replace mine every six moths because they wear out....

Back when you bought your vest the WAS no America. We were still under English rule

For whatever reason, they don't make this vest any more, but after trying several, I hands down like the Patagonia Guidewater Vest. No flaps to get in the way, you only need one hand to open and close zippers and it holds a ton of gear. They are worth the money if you happen to find one. There is a xxl and Large on ebay right now.

When it is really warm out, then I use my Simms Headwaters mesh vest. I like to be like "Dog" and go bareback underneath.

I am looking to pick up a new vest as my existing one has suffered an untimely accident. I am considering the new Simms guide vest or the G3 vest. I'm interested to see what you all use and look for in a vest. I flirted briefly with a fishpond vest last year and picked one up but didn't like the fit for me personally. Will probably sell that as its brand new. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
i dont think simms makes an xxxxxxxxxxlrg..
