Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

A few I tied tonight.

Caddis

wanna be fly fisher.
These are a couple very easy patterns to tie. Some of them I've seen before, others I've never seen, but figured I'd just make them up as I go.

For instance, take a look at the Caddis on the far right. The body is made of a very dark Turkey Biot.

The two midge/caddis/isonychia looking things, are something that I whipped up after looking at a photo that was similar, but not identicle. While in a flyshop the other day, I thought to myself, what would I need "Crystal Splash" for? They are mainly used for streamers, I Think... Anyway, I took a little piece and wrapped it around some yarn, and now there you have it. A whatchyamacallit.

I love when fly's come together and look like they will catch fish. I'm actually 100% positive that each one of these fly's will catch some nice trout.

Ohhh, by the way... The little griffiths gnat thing (size 24) was also wrapped with the "Crystal Splash" before I put the hackle on.

My favorite patterns are the caddis because they always work, no matter the weather. I've always had success using caddis fly's!

In this photo, I placed a ruler under the fly's so you will have an idea of the size of some of them. They range from a size 14 to 26.

And now for the fly's.

If you have any questions on how to tie any of these, please let me know. These patterns are a piece of cake to tie... There's no reason for you to purchase these patterns if you own the equipment and materials.
