In your opinion what three patterns would you use to teach someone new to fly tying?

Hello all. I rented a cabin on the Walton/Hemden boarder in NY. Walking distance to the west branch of the Delaware above the Cannonville res. Anyone have info on the fishing up there? I will be there Aug 1 to Aug 8th. Any info about the area as well would be great. Hiking , dinning sightseeing etc.

What does everyone use for bug spray? Name the brand and how it is applied (spray, lotion. towelettes etc) I was using 'Deep Woods Off' the other day but after handling a few fish I started the get bites on the back of my hands. A friend suggested using 'Listerine" that did not seem to work. So...

I have to pick up a canoe. I have a Pickup truck with a 6ft bed 8ft with the tailgate down. Can I safety carry a 15 ft canoe sticking out the back? I am worried about damage to the canoe.
