Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
I started with an Orvis kit, it was pretty good came with a Regal vise and decent tools, had all the material to make a bunch of good flies, the book that came with it had step by step instructions....
Get a come along, strap it to the tree right behind the boat, tie off to a cleat on the nose pull straight up,the water will stay where it is and the boat will be "high and dry"OR there is a road just past that tree line.....get a long rope and pull it with a car..
I know an old timer who uses one...Its big, heavy, uncomfortable, gets in your way, opens up to the size of a football field, other than that its great...
I got a spinning rod and a Mepps for you....You need it..As for what I drive it is a BMW 5 series I get a great deal on them...Family in the bizz and all...oh ya, 2012
The big Bow, by far you can see the skin pulling away from the head...I am sick at this pic, number one, what ever happened to the hate for center pinners......THAT IS WHAT HE IS DOING...he got lucky......He needs someone to instruct him on how Fly anglers work...
If you hold them by the belly.....Gently...in the palm of your hand and don't Shake them too much they will "pose" for a pic..... and make sure your hands are wet when you touch him...Maybe just Maybe another angler might have a shot.
Maybe, just maybe, That fish hadn't had a movement in a few days and this thug was just trying to help??DamN you killed a nice Rainbow......Hope you ate at least..
Nice, I just picked up a head mounted mini cam.....It records what you see (so they say)...I intend to post some video as well...Liked the L.P. score.....
Save up $500.00 and get yourself a Hatch Reel I have 2 one for salt and salmon and a 5plus for trout....They are outstanding, sweet drag, lite, quite (I have an Able that clicks way to loud for me) and they look cool that is the most important thing.....Check them out you will like them...
I just finished building a medium-fast rod with an old school master....It is not fancy, it is not sexy, the blank it was built on is 25 years old and didn't cost much...After a week of learning and watching....It was complete..We took it to the field to give it a try..At first I was casting...
