Yes I just joined this site a few hours ago, and I do plan on being a contributing member, and yes I am also trying to offer my winter tours. My goal is to cater the backpacker flyfishermen who want a productive tour but is not loaded with cash. Really depends on the wind current/patterns, a good shore breeze can help with the dissemination of the skeets. Also, being prepared with lightweight pants and longsleeve shirts, cap and neck wrap can repel them. Casting from the Mangrove inlets is productive, take a Kayak out and explore the inlets and many Mangrove estuaries and you will find plenty of fish. Personally, after fishing near Tulum for over a year, Skeeters were the least of my worries. Where they attack you is while you are dining in a restaurant at night, because they migrate under the wooden tables knowing there will be humans returning there each night! But I have no problems dodging insects if I am hooking into random tropical fish, for me, that's what it is all there for!
