Yup I like to eat the first and last of the season like my grandfather. Small fish are less toxic then the old big ones. Fly fishing is way more fun then spinning. I sold all my spin junk a few weeks ago so I have no excuses.

You will likely get alot of comments on the picture you posted. Laying the fish the ground just for a picture not the best idea. If you are keeping the fish then it does not matter. Wouldn't think you would be keeping a brookie to eat.
