I'm a Giants fan from the days of Tittle, Morrsion, Shofner, Roubustelli and Gifford -- even L.T.-- so I'm not worked up over this game BUT...

It's come to my attention from a previous thread on this BB that a video of a 64 year old grandma has been given an injunction in Pennsylvania under penalty of fines and imprisonment NOT to step foot in a supermarket, in the hospital, chinese restaurant, in the bank, lake -- well, about 312 square miles is now off limits to her and she's an American citizen with no past infractions with the law.

Are you shuddering in disbelief?

Do you think this a... a...a... "taking" of one's precious rights and liberties that we hear so much of today?

Fred, if you're reading this, it says in the caption in the video that Tom Shepstone is a "Cabot Oil and Gas Consultant".

Is this the same Tom that is speaking before the Upper Delaware Council this coming Thursday, February 6th at 7:00pm in Narrowsburg about water, tourism and the Upper Delaware River?

If so, wouldn't that be construed as a conflict of interest since Cabot has an "interest" in water and land (among other things) throughout the Upper Delware River basin?

Vera has been given fair warning on trespassing where Cabot has leases. She has been a big problem in the past with her trespassing on private property.

I have my concerns about fracking just like every other fly fisherman, and generally anyone that cares about the environment has about fracking and its potential impacts on the surrounding environment. But lets get real here, when you watch that video of Vera that TR posted, that woman has little credibility. She's riding on emotion. Fist off, she admits to going on company property and doing so as a known activist with an intention to inform,build support for her position through a biased tutorial of whats taking place, and hopefully persuade the community to harm the very owner of the property she's on. They took legal action to prevent that. Now as a consequence of being banned, shes telling a one sided story of being banned from the "grocery store" and other local establishments to give a partial story of what took place, while its abundantly obvious this woman is a local activist that ruffles feathers, lost the battle, and now is trying to sell her side of the story to continue the political battle she was already pushing when she was trespassing in the first place. Even assuming arguendo she is banned from the grocery store under the current restraining order, maybe Vera should have done her homework before she decided to go vigilante and start pissing off the big dawg that owned a bunch of real estate in town and had the power to impact her life if she over stepped her boundaries, including those set by property law. She picked a fight, she lost, and now she's using local viral media to hopefully build the resistance, because lets be real this woman is a liberal , organic, pick my own berries political advocate if I ever saw one. Take away being, I have my concerns about fracking, but you dont win by acting like this woman did. She's an extremist and wears it on her sleeve, and thats obvious whether anyone wants to admit that or not

This only tells one side of the story. TR would you want anyone coming onto your property and protesting the fact that you embark and indulge in the process that ultimately condones cruelty to animals. In the form of tying flies with the use of fur and feathers. Then using the flies to injure fish. Would you not see the absurdity in that individual and hence put a restraining order against that person? Or would go out when during the protest and give out milk and cookies?
