Rod repairs.....

I have an old berkley fly rod....my Dads old rod, at some point a long time ago the reel seat got dented(it is gold metal)....I would like to retire the rod even though I really love the action.. But it is old and I'd really hate to have it break fighting a fish or worse....Anyway the question is can I replace the reel seat only? If anyone knows of a repair/rod builder who could do this kind of work please advise.....I would try it myself but the fear of ruining the rod has got me thinking...Thanx guys

Only people who I would reccomend is the Delaware River Outfitters on Rt 31 in Pennington NJ. If they can't fix it no one can. Master craftsmen there. Hope this helps.

Would second Mark and Bill at Delaware River Outfitters. they do good work. Bill is working on rods everytime I walk in there. Andre
