So my last rod from L.L. Bean (the angler series) 6wt. and i think 8' performed well on everything from wild red-band trout to alligators but the time has come that in the process of travel my rod was lost somewhere along the way:holy:. So anyway I was wondering if this rod and reel would be good for the bass/pike/pickeral/and trout fishing I do. Heres the link for the combo, tell me what you guys think, im a beginner when it comes to gear technicalities
Eight-Piece Travel Series Fly Rod Outfits with Double L Mid-Arbor Fly Reel, 4-6 Wt.: Travel Series Outfits at L.L.Bean
EDIT: By the way, Im talking about the 6wt. option, my last 8' performed well on small streams but idk if that extra foot would make it more unwieldy. Im also afraid to get the 4 wt bc idk if it will stand up to 3lb bass
