Here is a picture of my new tying vise at home. Currently I have the Stainless Steel jaws on so I can tye up some wet flies for the swap I am hosting. After my swap flies, I am going to change out the jaws and tye up a Jock Scott Salmon fly. I feel there is no better way to christian this vise.

How do you like the Regal Vises? Also, what made you choose that vise over the Revolution Series?

Awesome -- Funny how things work out Andy -- Your vise breaks across the Street from Shannons and now you have a NEW VISE -- What a day

Hi Trout Fever:

Thanks for the comment and I am hoping for notheing but a really nice fly tying experience out of it.

Hi CTobias:

I owned two Renzetti True rotary vises and never used the rotary function ever at all. I only used the rotary function to turn and look at the fly. This is part of what made me go with the medallion. On the Regal medallion my wing set on wet flies has greatly improved and is mainly due to the vast amount of work space for your hands and that the vise also can be used as a hand rest while tying on certain materials like wet fly wings. I can rotate the fly in any way I see fit and can also use the movements to my benefit for placing on tags on flies and so on. Now I truly am getting use to the vise and felt really comfortable with it for the first time while I was teaching a wet fly class yesterday at shannons. Understand that I just gotten rid of both my high end Renzetti's Master & Presentation 4000 for the two Regals I purchased. I bought the larger jaws for salt water and salmon flies and the vise still cost only half the price of what I paid for my Master about 8 years ago. I love the fact that I do not have to always make an adjustment when going from hook to hook as well as making an adjustment to maintain the center axis of the fly hook for true rotary puposes. The vise is quality, no adjustments at all unless I want to change vise head positions and or vise and stem out itself for larger or smaller jaws. Lots and I mean lots of room to work with over any Renzetti or Peak vise and is built like a tank. Holds hooks greatly and the Base on the vise with the pockets is great for hooks and beads and the base takes more to move that normal to heavey fly tying would ever do. Am I satisfide with it? Hell Yes. Laslty the best part, it is made in the USA for Americans by Americans. I never believed in taking a vise or endorsing a vise until I paid for it out of my own pocket and truly seen what it could do or not do. So when you here me speak up a vise or put one down, it's because I have paid for it out of my own pocket or have had the pleasure to tye on one a bit and then decide to give it back or buy it and keep it. So to me Regal is the real deal.

Hi Dan:

Boy sometimes fate truly does play a part in ones life. For me this vise and style was ment to be. I am glad my high end Renzetti Presentation 4000 with extremely low milage had it's breakdown that day. Bad for Renzetti, Great for Regal and me. I honestly feel that this vise is worth all the hype and the cost is truly reasonble for such a high end quality product.

Thanks Guys
Andy Brasko.

Great Andy! Now I want to give one a test drive. I've been looking for a new vise.....Just don't tell the wife I want more fishing stuff....she thinks I have enough already.
