March 26 - Introduction to Fly Fishing

DelValFlyFish

Rain or shine, the fishing's fine.
Hi Friends, please share this information with any anglers you know who are new to Fly Fishing. This is a great opportunity to bring new anglers to this wonderful sport.

The Delaware Valley Fly Fishers are offering a hands-on "Introduction to Fly Fishing" class at the Silver Lake Nature Center (1306 Bath Road, Bristol Township, Bucks County, PA 19007, a location convenient to anglers in NJ and S.E. PA). This class expertly covers topics such as equipment selection, stream entomology, and basic fly fishing tactics. Students will come away knowing which tackle is right for them, where to purchase, and how to use it. If you already have a rod and reel, bring it along because we have two Casting Instructors certified by the Federation of Fly Fishers who will be leading the casting clinic. Brown bag or join us at a nearby diner for lunch. The cost per person is $25.00 and the full proceeds go directly to supporting the Nature Center. Additional information is available on our club website: Delaware Valley Fly Fishers.
Date: March 26, 2011
Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
To enroll: Call 215-245-0677

P.S. Our "On-Stream" fly fishing class on the Little Lehigh River is scheduled for April 9, 2011. Please call 215-245-0677 for more details.

Hi Friend.

Can you please tell me where this is being held?

If there is a rain out, do you have another date?

The cost of this, is it a tax deduction? If so you will be giving a certificate that day or will it come in the mail?

Thanks for your time and effort.

Location: Silver Lake Nature Center: 1306 Bath Road, Bristol Township, Bucks County, PA 19007
Rain Date: Class is held rain or shine. Most of the class is conducted indoors using the conference center (main room) of the Nature Center. The casting clinic is outdoors, after lunch.
Deduction: My best answer is: I'm not sure. Our PA charter is as a registered non-profit, but donations to us do not qualify as tax deductions. I'll have to check further though, since we do pass these funds on to the Nature Center, which is part of the Bucks County (PA) parks system. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you at this time.
Thanks for the feedback.
