Maine fly fishing for salmon -- Crooked River

I had the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to go fly fishing for landlocked salmon on the Crooked River, just north of Portland.

Although nothing was happening, as attested to by all the fisherman we ran into it was absolutely gorgeous and I found one of the best guides I have ever had the opportunity to use. He not only helped me learn about fishing wet flies but helped me work on my cast.

I hope to head back in the spring and fall next year to try for Salmon and Trout.
