Ludlow, Vermont late august

I'll be going up and staying with my family at the Castle Hill Resort from August 27-30th. The resort is minutes from the Black River and its 4-mile "Trophy Trout Area"... Don't know if it'll be too warm for trout up in VT at the time, but if so, I'm hoping that the smallmouth bite will be on fire then

Black river is lake fed & most likley to be pretty warm in late August. Worth an explore just the same. Since your going to be so close to the Batten Kill, might better give that some attention as well, spring fed & stays cool all summer long. Good Luck. DH
