Fly Swap Interest

Hi Guys:

Andy B the Fly Guy here. I am asking every one on this board if they are interested in another fly swap. Here is my questions to all:

1) When? Start one now and have deadline in Mid January or Start one in January after the Holidays?

2) What type of swap would you like to see? Woolly Buggers, Midges, Nymphs, Comparaduns + CDC Flies, Streamers, Dryflys either Mafly or Caddis and finally emergers.

3) Any improvements you would like to see made to the swaps?

4) Any issues or gripes that you would like to throw out so we can air them and move on?

I am asking these things mainly due to me being a fly tyer that tye's all the time. I really want to keep the swaps happening and want to see people get involved. Please, your feedback is important to me and I want to host a swap that is to every ones liking. Constructive critisism is welcomed!

Having never done one I have no gripes....But if you keep it simple...Meaning the pattern I could tie I'd be into one whenever ....

Andy i would be interested in any for jan 1 flies do date.
i would be most interested in wooly bugger swap.

I would love to get into a fly swap, a january due date is great, and simpler the better.

Andy, i would love to get into another but not until say Feb. A sign up date for say Jan. 31 would be cool, with a due date of say March 1st. I've got a swap on FAOL going, an atlantic salmon fly contest on FAOL, two swaps on VFB, and i don't know what else. My vote is to let the holidays wind down completely before any more committments. What with the three shows comming up and having to tye for all three, and then the Sowbug Roundup in March to travel too and tye at, and then the CFTG Rendezvous to tye at, and then the E.I.F.T./F.F. Expo to travle to and tye at also........whew! It gets a bit hectic. Also my vote for a swap is atlantic salmon flies of any kind, hair wing, stack wing, strip wing, married wing, Dee, Spey, whatever. mark

I know your busy and have a tall order to fill. Don't sweat it brother. I will hosting numerous swaps from now till July 2004. I take two months off from swaps every year so I can tye my own personal fly's that I really want to try and see how they produce. Knowing me, it will be some old pattern that I will tye and try. I will let you know that I will be tying Poly Stickles for one of the swaps in February 2004. Cool Beans, Ain't it. Lator Gator.
