ESCTU featuring Dwight Landis

JasonM

Trout Hunter
The Ernest Schwiebert TU Chapter’s guest speaker for next Tuesday evening - 11 November 2003 will be Dwight Landis – the author of Trout Streams of Pennsylvania; An Anglers Guide. As you may guess, his presentation will be on Pennsylvania Trout Streams.

The Ernest Schwiebert TU Chapter is located in Pennington, NJ which is north of Trenton, NJ and just across the Delaware River from Levittown, Yardley, Morrisville, Newtown, Washington Crossing and New Hope, PA in Bucks County.

Please take a look at the Schwiebert TU web site – www.esctu.org. They have some interesting presentations and speakers lined up for the upcoming year. Next month, their chapter namesake, Ernest Schwiebert, will be providing them a presentation on fishing in New Zealand. If you have never met Mr. Schwiebert, this is an ideal time to do so. He is one of the icons of fly fishing, as well as, a truly nice and gracious individual. In 2004, some of the other speakers that they have are Ozzie Ozefovich, Barry & Cathy Beck and Charlie Meck.
Please note: All Ernest Schwiebert TU chapter meetings are free and open to the public.

The Ernest Schwiebert TU Chapter meets on the second Tuesday of every month (except July and August). The meetings are at our new location (different from last year) which is the The Pennington Fire House on Bromel Place in Pennington, New Jersey. The meetings start at 7:30PM but at 6:30PM there is a guest tyer or maybe like last month, a woven silk furled leader maker.

Directions:

From locations South: Interstate 95 across the Scudders Fall bridge and take the Route 31 North exit and from the Pennington Circle travel 1.6 miles from circle to Bromel Place (Cheng’s Kitchen on corner). Turn right onto Bromel; Firehouse is on the right hand side directly across from the Pennington Post Office.

From locations North or West: Interstate 78 East or Route 202 East to Route 31 South. Just north of Pennington on the left will be the Pennytown Shopping Center/HI Ribs Restaurant/The Backstage which is the old meeting place location. You travel 1.9 miles to Bromel Place (Cheng’s Kitchen on corner). Turn left onto Bromel; Firehouse is on the right hand side directly across from the Pennington Post Office.

WOW, now there's a TU chapter that knows how to take care of business. Don't think i've ever heard Mr. Landis speak, might be some fun. Have heard Mr.Schwiebert many times and he's one of the finest gentelman in the sport/pastime/religion/hobbie/obsession, in any order. For those who have never had the privledge, you really ought to try and make it. I've also listened to, and watched, Barry and Cathy a few times. They are a lot of fun and very informative. Mr. Meck is also a favorite of mine, had the good fortune a few times as well. Now, who is this Mr. Ozefovich? Sure wish our TU chapter would get it together, and do things like that. Have a good time Jason. mark

Mark,

Mr. Ozefovich is an fly fisherman does studies trout with underwater photography. His video presentations are unbelievable.

I've seen one of Ozzie's presentations and it was truly amazing and if anyone has the opportunity to see one don't pass it up.

Jason:

I am in the process of changing membership from CJTU to your chapter. Only disapointing thing is meetings are on Tuesday nights. Can't make them do to being in a Bowling league with high stakes on Tuesdays. That Su_ _s! Any how, hope to make a meeting one nigh and see you there.

Andy B

P.S. Reason for changing is your chapter is closer to where I live.
