9/9/11 AUSABLE RIVER SUICIDE RUN! WHO's IN!?

Hey Guys,

A good friend and guide from the hungry trout called me today and said the fishing has been OFF THE FRICKEN WALL...ISO's/Adams on top with p-tail droppers and streamers subsurface have been CRUSHING THEM! Ausable IS running a touch high right now, but by tomorrow it will be perfect...Infact, I like it a bit high...

I am leaving at 3am and will be swinging through the Albany area at 5am. I was wondering anyone would like to tag along?We can leave LATE tomorrow night after the evening hatch, or crash somewhere (or in the truck) and fish sat morning too...Im down for anything...

The rivers here in MASS are completely blown out and the Salmon River is not worth fishing yet...I assume the rivers whereever YOU are are blown out too...SO, what say you!?

Just got back...


Fishing was spectacular...

However, my heart goes out to all those home and business owners along branches and mainstem...OH MY GOSH was/is there damage...The WHOLE river has completely changed...Some spots are unrecognizable...

Pics and write up to follow in the morning....10 hours of driving and 12 hours of fishing(in one day)...I NEED SLEEP

I am a gentleman fisherman.

Breakfast followed by Four hours of driving, lunch.
Another hour of driving, check into campground, secure Flat Stanley for the evening.
Stop off at the local Corona outlet, and butcher.
Stop off at the local fly shop(s).
Wal-Mart for BBQ charcoal.
Head for the river for the evening hatch.
Return to camp, get fire going in pit, and BBQ...
Now is the best time of the day.
Stay thirsty my friends.

damn simms 10 hours driving..... lake placid is 5 hours from me cant wait to get back up there
