    Upper - WINDY!!!

Thanks for the post. First report on UD that I can remember, and sorely needed now that there are no other sources that I know of that tell you what is really going on. (Unless you know how to read between the lines) OM

    Delaware Aquaduct Shutdown

Delaware Aquaduct Shutdown I caught the last half of the Zoom presentation last night on plans for the Aquaduct repair planned for this year, beginning in the Fall. I conclude that, for 2023, it will result in either: 1. More water in the WB. or 2. Less water in the WB. or 3. No change...

USGS - Up to date CFS

It is absolutely true that NYC DEP controls the water releases, but it has been several years since the winter releases were as low as 45 CFS, and you could walk across the WB without getting you shoes wet. OM

    DRBC Dashboard Availability

First off, I apologize...it is the website for the DRBC (Delaware River Basin Commision) that I'm talking about. If you go to their main website, in the far right hand column (blue) there is a link for the DRBC dashboard. I checked this AM, and it is still not available. If it were, you could...

    DRBC Dashboard Availability

DRC, They responded, stating that it is an IT problem that should be fixed in a few days. OM

    DRBC Dashboard Availability

Two days ago I found that you can no longer access the dashboard on the DRC website. Very disappointing since that is where I can get information regarding possible spills in the near future. I have emailed the DRC asking why they have made this change, and if indeed they respond I will post...

USGS - Up to date CFS

Sounds like I didn't make myself clear. I was referring to the FFMP, which includes things like thermal banks for release when temps on the mainstream reach certain levels, etc. Weather, indeed, is a huge variable, but I have found the Prediction Service site for predicting when the dams will...

USGS - Up to date CFS

The ultimate info on this site would be the prediction of Cannonsville releases for the next several days, based on the current FFMP (Flexible Flow Management Plan). This would prevent me from driving for three hours up to the WB, only to see the levels raised to unwadeable levels shortly...

    Oasisman is Back

With All This Warm weather, does anyone care to guess the start date for Hendricksons this year?? If I remember correctly, it's all about degree days. OM

    Oasisman is Back

One of the reasons I asked was because I have received no emails from FUDR, West Branch Angler, or the Delaware River Club stating that they would be there. Last year I know Serio Real Estate was there. I did not see Kelly Galloup listed as a presenter. OM

    Oasisman is Back

Does anyone still attend the Somerset Fly Fishing show, coming up in a few weeks??

    Oasisman is Back

Don't think I could make it to that Oasis. In fact, I have reached the age where I'm considering hiring a guide for a float trip down the WB during the Hendrickson season, since the cfs flows have been too high for me to considering wading. Any suggestions who are the current guides that...

    Oasisman is Back

The best source for these patterns is the book "Cripples and Spinners" by Kelly Galloup. There is also a CD that I found on Ebay where he shows how to tie these patterns. One tip that he told me at the Somerset show was to use Daiichi hooks, which are the "easiest" to bend into the right...

    Oasisman is Back

It's been several years since I've posted on this site, and am impressed with the updates that have made. I was able to get up to the WB twice last summer, and the second trip provided sulphurs that reminded me of twenty years ago. Plan to spend the winter months tying my favorite Galloup...
