    Passaic river pike

At that particular location try to cast parallel to the shore if possible. There isn't usually anybody there, but even when there is you can walk a long ways upstream, and downstream from where you stand.

    what do you wear

I wet wade in the summer with some quick dry pants that can be converted into shorts. For some reason when flyfishing i try to wet wade as much as possible if I have to be in the water. In cold water I use redhead neoprene waders. This spring/summer when in less classy water I will use rubber...

    NJ Steelhead?

Full day of fishing for me 5 years ago = Go to RV start on the boat launch closest to rangers cove and fish all the way to the rocks that separate the swimming area from the main reservoir, and turn around and do the same on the way back. Now a days a full day is I pick a area, and start on one...

    Passaic river pike

The Passaic was the target of my attention this past summer/fall, and I was impressed to say the least. Highly accessible by foot, but a great place for a kayak (I personally don't have one), plenty of fish to be had either way. Most of the wadable water is better suited for smallie fishing...

    2/19/12 more hiking than fishing

Re: Pots & Kettles? Kids will be kids... Perhaps this will help, I started with a walt's worm, then switched to a parachute adams and after that a tan elk hair caddis (those were the only two types of dries I had on me at the time.

Pots & Kettles? Kids will be kids... For the record, I honestly meant thanks for the time spent reading the thread. Taking into consideration the lack of fishing reports in recent times, one would think any report would be appreciated. The purpose of my report format is to give essential...

    10/24/11 C&C Round 2

Drift, but I couple hit right on the end of the drift as it was starting to swing, I don't know if that was because of presentation, or fish location. Next time I will test that theory.

    Locations near Paramus

NON-WILD* More specifically I've caught them in a 1 mile stretch of a Ridgewood Access area, in spring/early summer months.

    Locations near Paramus

I should add that I have caught wild trout in the now wild trout designated area of the fishery in past years during spring stocking season. I could of been mistaken, but I believe they were 3 - 5 inch wild trout. Another angler who fishes the area much more than me said the same thing.

    Locations near Paramus

Depending on what time you get off of work (daylight is dwindling now) you can make a decision from one of these places below. These are your closest worthwhile options. Ramapo river might be worthwhile after fall stocking. A small section of saddle river holds wild trout and is hardly fished...
