I guess maybe its bamboo - I'm not really sure. I can't even remember what weight he said it was. I bought this rod and reel from him which he said was the right size for trout. It came with line and backing and leaders but I had to tie it all onto the reel. He also sold me a pole and reel that he said was good for bass, and a pole and reel that he said was good for saltwater. Plus a few flies.

I need to pick up more flies for sure.

Awesome!! I spent some time in Natirar on Saturday with my fly fishing pole. First ever time. Even had my first bite - although I doubt it was a trout, it felt more like a sunny. Didn't even hook it! Anyway, I'm definitely hooked by the sport now and I wanna learn a bunch more about it. I usually fish weds nights after work (I get out at 5) - you around then?
