I prefer the upper stretches, beaver, or willow so it's pretty much my 5 and sometimes 4 weights. 6 wt casts better, sure, but I barely feel the fish. I too love my old loomis 8/9 wt for steelies and salmon.

Or that they've all been eaten. I read an article years ago that had the estimated number of trout eaten by birds of prey, but I believe it was NY. Don't recall the numbers but I remember being pretty shocked.

Not in the pond, in the stream. Maybe there are some of those too and I dont doubt they get fed, but I def saw some big ass trout in that creek.

When we are up that way we sometimes stop at that Fly Creek store for good wine, food, spices etc. Take a look at the bruisers in the creek right outside the store if you ever get a chance, they're huge. There is some great fishing in the area.

Good fishing to be had there, you just gotta deal with all the massholes!
