Fished my favorite Pocono stream today under overcast skies and mild temperatures. The leaf situation is now pretty much under control and the river levels are low but fishable.
I came upon one run that yielded a nice number of fish. Most came on a Graphic Caddis dropper in size 14 and the balance on various other patterns from Rubber Leg Stones to PT's and Quill nymphs.
I also lost two fair fish on a Drunk and Disorderly (as per the ones I tied for the swap) and had one small brown commit suicide on an olive Sex Dungeon.
Here are a couple of the browns.

Now here was a surprise. A rainbow in a non stocked brown trout river.

After catching the rainbow I decided to try another section of river before I headed home.
After arriving at the next spot, I walked up to the first riffle and made three drifts with a PT point fly and Graphic Caddis dropper. What happened next still has me shaking my head. I hooked what I thought was a big brown and when the fish went airborne on the first jump I liked to fall down when I saw it was a steelhead, I mean a huge rainbow.

The fish measured just over 22 inches and was fat as a pig. Somebody tell me where in the hell this fish came from.......
