Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Global Warming a Hoax, don't worry you will still pay for it.

Well, that big collapse that will really shake things up may not be the alarmist nightmare that we all think it is.

Bottom line is were f----d
Thanks Obama Hussein :finger: and the Idiots that voted for him:finger:
That's a double:finger::finger:

you assume its a problem for one. If its a problem you assume it can be fixed number 2. If it aint broken, dont fix it. Well we're broken people. you might be broken but I feel fine.[/QUOTE]
What are you even saying here? Listen, Im not gonna get into politics on a fly fishing website. My only argument was that regardless of global warming or not, this bill is for a cleaner environment. Not many bills these days are perfect, but at least I feel we are heading in the right direction. Im not broken in the least beat, just a little worried about my future and the idiots I have to share it with. I can tell you're a hardcore republican, which is fine, but you sound pretty closed minded and pessimistic to me.

EHHHHHH. WRONG!

This bill has NOTHING to do with a cleaner environment. It may seem like it on the surface, but the bottom line for this bill is to suck more money out of you and me as well as the rest of the country. Have you been paying attention to any of these posts?? This bill if passed will increase anything and everything that has to do with using energy. Lets see here, yip, that's everything out there. Your gas prices will increase, it will cost you more on your electric or gas bill. EVERYTHING! This bill is not about republicans or democrats, because for the most part they are all one in the same. We shall call them republocrats, because that's what they are. (most of them anyways) They would like you to think there is a left and right on this issue, but when it comes down to it, look at what they vote for. I do believe two of the republicans that voted in favor of this bill came from New Jersey. I know one came from New York. It's a shame that these people who are elected to represent us would vote in favor of a bill that will royally f_ck each and every one of us right in the arse with no lube. So, do some more research before you start to even think that this is a bill to "help the environment".

Bigbow you are an absolute rip. You claim you arent going to get into politics but every other comments is a shot at republicans and quote unquote idiots you have to share your future with. Whats so hard to understand. You think this is a positive environmental bill. Your entitled to your belief. I believe its a monumentally flawed piece of legislation. I provided you with one of many clear example of why it is flawed. When I stated you assume its broken you know exactly what I am referring to. You assume there is climate change and b you assume we can fix it. If you assume for a moment global warming is happening you have to know that no one can even agree on what needs to be done to reverse it. No one knows how much greenhouse gas needs to be reduced. Some speculate that 60% from todays level is the number but they will tell you they really dont know. You think Im a closed minded republican. Really what you are saying is because I dont agree with your view Im close minded. Now doesnt that really make you close minded. Y

ou want to invest in alternative energy..great Im all for it. Incent folks to invest in the new techonology. There is absolutely zero need for a bill of this scale and for the impact it will have on our country. This bill is a tax on you and I and not a clean energy bill. LIke the stimulus bill and the omnibus spending bill it is filled with waste and is based on a flawed belief. Sorry Bigbow you are way off base on this one. The best one is your comment that no bill is perfect these days..>Thats an understatement if I ever heard one. Of course it doesnt really matter. Its an academic discussion. Its highly likely to pass. You can judge for yourself if its successful in a few years.

I'm still waitin' to hear how much some Company that spews out CO2 is gonna pay me per acre to grow trees... I'm hopin' to retire early.

PAY UP for your energy Fellas... I need a boat...

Where the hell you gonna plant more trees. You already have a forest up there. By the way you are going to have to compete with other countries around the globe. Some of the money from those carbon permits and offsets go to the international community. More goes to helping other countries transition to a carbon neutral economy. Still more about 5 percent will go to prevent international deforestation...Arent we a nice country????

Future you can buy a Clacka Crap....if I were you though I would look at a Willies as well as a Hyde. Both great boats. Anyways.......what were we talking about?? Oh yeah. Al Gore sucks...he may not have invented the internet..but he sure made up global warming.

Hey maybe you can qualify for the cash for clunkers program. They are giving you up to 4500 to turn your old gas guzzling evil vehicle for a greener vehicle. Whats more green than a drift boat? Do me a favor and try it...Somthing tells me your gonna get a check.

This bill and the healthcare bill and the illegal immigration bill currently being written are basically done deals now that the Sen. Franken will be seated probably next week. So while the discussion on this board goes on its really a foregone conclusion that we will have some form of nationalized healthcare, a new energy bill, and immigration bill. The fall session will likely see a run at social security reform. So by the end of 2009 (in the span of one year) its a good bet that you will have a radically altered U.S. of A.

Even with Al the joke Franken, the Blue Dog southern dems are all against this bill, if they vote with the republicans it wouldn't pass. Senator Lousenberg's, staff said, that he would not support this bill in its current form, that it needed to be rewritten, of course with his track record, him helping to rewrite could make it worse. It actually passed the House because five republicans voted yes, three of whom are from NJ, 30 democrates (again southern blue dogs) voted no.

Bigbow you are an absolute rip. You claim you arent going to get into politics but every other comments is a shot at republicans and quote unquote idiots you have to share your future with
WTF is a rip? If bashing Bush means Im ripping on Republicans than every American must be a blue collared democrat!! Not sure where you got all the republican bashing from, as we've had many excellent rep presidents and not once did I bash the party. I vote according to who I think will do a better job. Im worried about our future and people like you who are affraid of some change and have no bipartisanship. Done posting this thread.. enjoy.

WTF is a rip?It means you crack me up..your funny...you make me laugh If bashing Bush means Im ripping on Republicans than every American must be a blue collared democrat!! Oh please you are politically naive if you are going to blame everything on the former president. How about thinking for yourself. Not sure where you got all the republican bashing from, as we've had many excellent rep presidents and not once did I bash the partyCalling me close minded because I dont agree with your view point. Im a hard core republican. Labels my friend whats with all the labels. Not once did I call you a tree hugger or an environmentalist whacko!!!. I vote according to who I think will do a better job. Im worried about our future and people like you who are affraid of some change and have no bipartisanship. Done posting this thread.. enjoy. You have not a single clue about what I think, believe or feel....None, Notta, zero....you arrive at your analysis simply because I dont agree with you.Thats a clear example of partisanship. You think you are the only one worried about the future. Concerned for our country. Please I served in the military for many years...I care more about this country than you will ever know...Dont preach to me about being concerned about our country. Typical you say your piece and sign off. Why not debate the issue if you feel so strongly about it. Perhaps its because you dont even know whats in the bill!!! Maybe its because you have your talking points from Keith Olberman and cant think for yourself...

So the facts are as follows. You posted and I replied with some facts in rebuttal. You didnt like the facts so you started name calling. I placed more facts in reply and now Im a hardcore republican afraid of change. In the midst of all of this I can tell you there are a multitude of ways to incent folks to alternative energy without a large energy bill like the one being proposed. Just as energy companies wrote the last one which was a waste..this one is written based on fault science and misguided views on how we can transform our energy dependence. Did you know that in more than 14 states there have been millions of dollars in grants given to spur development of alternative energy. DId you know that no less than 30 major corporations are spurring innovation on how to modernize our electrical grid where milliono of kilowatts of energy are wasted every day. I doubt you know much about any of it but instead of posting ridiculous diatribes on this board you might want to go educate yourself. Yeah your so open minded Bigbow!!!

Yep thats it.. I know nothing. My job includes dealing with politics and world views on a daily basis. Never name called so dont think I did and then cry about it. I said I have concerns on the future when people are afraid of new tasks set before them and it sickens me how our political parties cry over things that their people didnt necessarily come up with. You can assume whatever you wish about me. It seems you have nothing better to do than get into it on a website. Go fish my man.

I just want to live by a BIG river loaded with resident fish with a fall and spring run of epic proportions, pay no income tax, no SS, and have free health care for ever. Well, at least I live near rivers. God, I love america...Still but I'm stretching

more evidence for you tree hugging liberal hippies!! Where are your facts and proof that this is a great bill?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

http://blog.heritage.org/2009/07/08/epa-admits-cap-and-trade-won’t-work/

Echoing this article I would add that not only will this bill have no impact on reducing greenhouse gases it will further elevate China's economy at a direct cost to America. As China and India continue to operate as if they were in the industrial age we pay a direct price. The cumulative regulation enacted by the U.S. over the last 50 years has significantly reduced pollution. Similar legislation is almost non-existent in China and India. So beyond the idea of reducing greenhouse gases, basic laws regarding the environment are not in place in the Countries. The idea that we would place an overwhelming burden on the U.S. is beyond ridiculous.

In a separate yet related article. A U.N study team responsible for developing the next phase of the Kyoto Protocol is recommending that climate change be viewed as a gap between rich and poor. Essentially the rich should pay for greenhouse gas abatement since its likely they have bigger Carbon Footprints. Many will read this and say yes lets tax the rich more but what this article actually states is RICH Countries so in fact the carbon tax above and beyond any program put in place by the U.S. would be paid by everyone. Proceeds for this tax would go to Developing Countries much the same way money from the proposed legislation of the waxman/markey bill (yeah thats right money from carbon credits generated by this bill will go overseas to developing countries to help them with their transition to a carbon neutral economy. Meanwhile China continues its rape of sub saharan Africa by signing up long term leases to mine all of the natural resources and paying off the dictators of these countries under the guise of providing much needed economic support . This amounts to providing low wage jobs to the locals while brining in their own workers for the higher paying wages.

In summary we are absolutely destroying our country as we know it if this bill is passed. We will subsequently run ourselves over with a bus if we sign on to any UN based treaty on Climate Change.

The other night while watching one of the cable news program, they have the news banner that runs on the bottom of the screen, it seems EPA Administrator Lisa (Ilovebears)Jackson, has finally admitted they sat on th EPA report that disputed the climate change bill, and that the US bill will do nothing to reduce green house gases unless China and India pass a similar bill. I went through EPA press releases looking for this and couldn't find it. I think it may have been in her comments the other day when she testified before the Senate. But they haven't been posted yet on the senate webpage

Those comments were under Bush. I really havent heard any of our new administrations remarks towards the protocol since the election, but I am eager to do so. Please post any new info you may find. I think it rediculous for ANY president to deny our involvement because of China and India's standpoints.. Yes they are countries troubling our environment, but for us to take our ball and go home because they wont play right is almost commical.

This was on msnbc one of the MOST liberal networks out there. Stick this in your pipe and smoke it.

YouTube - RED ALERT: Climate Bill Is Transfer Of Wealth To World Government
Pat Buchanan is one of the most conservative political commentators out there. What is there to smoke here? Its biased. Theres two sides to every story.. dont forget that. Its fine to disagree here, but when it comes to politics theres always going to be various arguments and I dont think this interview helps yours much.

BIGBOW do me a favor and just read the article posted under CTOBIAS. Honestly you are not even reading what is being posted. The EPA administrator said in her testimony before the Senate that an analysis they conducted has concluded that unless China and India were to actively participate no meaningful reduction in greenhouse gases could be achieved. Its really that simple. Just so we are clear its got nothing to do with the Bush Administration which is no longer in power.

MACFLY, this is exactly what I've been talking about. Its got to start somewhere and its simply BS to believe that they are the only two countries that can effect greenhouse gases, even if they are the pollution leaders of the world. The U.S. needs to take ownership of our envorinmental flaws. If you knew anything, you'd know Jackson is 100% behind this bill you hate so much! Your fabulous article is a bunch of mumbo jumbo from a republican senator who is giving his take of what Jackson actually stated about "the center of the chart." Wheres the whole chart and the rest of what Jackson stated? This article is cut and paste from a republicans point of view. How about giving one of the supporting democrats views, or are we just listening to republicans now? Higher taxes suck, but Jackson has stated repeatedly that fixing our environment will be costly on our part. Nothings free these days, including clean air.

Yes, lets spend all this time and energy to reduce carbon emissions, to address a problem thats not even proven to exist. Lets spend all of our time, money and energy on this. The worst thing with this man-made global warming crap is that it takes attention away from types of pollution that have proven impact and we can address now. i.e. deforestation, ocean dumping, non-point pollution, poor planning, etc. But none of those can create appropriate level of fear in the population to actually get any of this crap legislation to pass. Whats next after global warming, stopping continental drift? Whats going to be the genius plan there, put big screws into the earth?

First you stated that this was something that happened under George Bush. The statement was made by the EPA commissioner in the senate hearing. You then dismiss the entire thing as a republican talking point. Sure she is behind it but what about the statement dont you get. Your logic seems to indicate the following...Yes we need to reduce our emissions. Yes it will be quite costly. No it wont have any impact unless China and India participate. Amazing!!!

Now I made it abundantly clear that China nor India have even implemented 10% of the environmental laws we have today. Neither have been willing to step up to do anything to lower their carbon emissions. So you want us to bear the brunt of reducing carbon emissions while China and India do nothing under the idea of the U.S. showing leadership. Clean Air aint free ..Thats for dam sure. Go spend a few days over in Bejing and you will find out how bad it is. Its an environmental tsunami over in that part of the world. BIGBOW one of these days a throw away comment that higher taxes are necessary is going to come back and haunt you. Put simply you are asking americans to pay more in taxes at a time when more folks are losing their jobs and have less money to address an issue that may in fact not be an issue and B if it is an issue may not be something that man can fix..all the while China, India, Mexico, and a bunch of other countries can do nothing when the EPA Head has stated it wont solve anything unless they participate. Is that about the size of it??
