Local Streams Took A Beating

Local streams took a real beating over the weekend. Pocono ,Devil Hole and Brodhead were as bad as I've ever seen them. For those that know the area Rt. 191/447 had to be closed by Penn Hills as creek ran over top of road and came close to washing road out completely.
I afraid alot of scouring took effect and ruined many different areas. Last time we got flooded like this a stretch I had permission to fish just above a spillway got completely ruined. It went from a area loaded with fish to a silted bottom devoid of any fish. It will be interestinf to see what this flood did.

Well 2nd day today with no rain. Brodhead in Canadensis is still running muddy and couple of the smaller creeks are still running discolored as of 4:00 this afternoon. Tomorrow I'll take a look at a few of my usual haunts and let you know my first impressions.

fished devils hole about a week ago, didnt catch anything but it was in beautiful shape, several deep pools, didnt see hatches but saw a ton of native browns shooting about
